Holiday Week

The boys took a holiday week. Me, not so much.
I have never had a more un-relaxing holiday week in my life. Well, it had it’s moments, but basically, I want to take a lesson for next year.

In a very stressful moment, my son was trying to snap pictures and get me to smile.

Sleepy boys- My boys did better than the rest of the family that missed out on the memo that Christmas means waking up early.

Little W. telling us a story

We spent the night, having one giant sleep over, which is more fun when you are younger. The young ones had a blast!

They all woke up bright and early and I fed them cereal and we decided to watch White Christmas as we ran out of time in the evening!

I then took my younger two and my nephew on a hike in the snow, and sledding. They were perfect for the rest of the day, played a game of Life, which by the way….was very stressful for me. I do not understand why it is 100,000 in debt to go to college, no scholarships for good grades offered, everything is sue happy, and money grubbing. I think we will use the money with our old board!

They also played with legos and ate candy, popcorn, and cookies. It was a very healthy day. Hey! They were happy!

The next day, we decided to go sledding with a big group of us, they were so excited, they all got ready way too far ahead of time.

We remedied it with sandwiches!

We enjoyed sledding, and I went up and down, up and down the hills on purpose for a good workout.

We started some light schoolwork, which I needed some more days off, but we did history, reading, geography, etc. I should have added in some math drills, but I was exhausted.

Friday- again after a light school day, the older boys went to work at my sisters, and I took T. for a hike in the snow- deeper snow now, and sledding. It was a bit difficult to walk in, but walked/hiked for over an hour.

I am trying to gear up for a new school week and hoping to make it work for the rest of the school year!

Week #18, here we come!
